Privacy Policy

The protection of your personal data is a top priority of Voycer Inc. ("Voycer" or "we").  The collection, processing and use of your data will be in compliance with following privacy policy guidelines.  The following explanations will provide you information about what data we collect from your use of the Voycer Services and Site and how they are processed and used.  This Privacy policy supplements the Terms of Use for Voycer.

Special acceptance of the use of your personal data is described in the following.

1.  Collection and Processing of Your Personal Data and Other Data

1.1  User Information Provided During Registration at Voycer

Voycer collects personal data during the registration process any applies this data for contractually agreed purposes, specifically the justification, implementation and completion of user relationship.  Personal data is data that is used to identify the user (such as first name, last name, address, telephone number or email address).  Some of this data is required, as these are necessary for the functioning of Voycer to pursue its purpose.  Certain inputs are necessary in order to make contact with the user (such as an email address).  Other inputs are necessary for access to the complete functions and structures that Voycer makes available.

Voycer also offers a fee-based subscription service.  As a fee-based subscription service member, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form to process your subscription.  You must provide contact information (such as first name, last name, address, telephone number or email address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date).  We use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders.  If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.

1.2  User Information Automatically Collected by Voycer

Beyond the data indicated in Paragraph 1.1, only data that is voluntarily provided by the User will be saved by Voycer, for example the participation in surveys, the input of opinions, comments, evaluations  or other content (“Content”).  Such Content can under certain circumstances include personal data in the context of the privacy policy.  The purpose of Voycer is the presentation of a platform in which users submit relevant content, specifically feedback, votes, and opinions are expressed as well as surveys and votings (polls) are submitted among users and third parties.  Voycer offers the means to bundle and systematically and structurally organize such information.  The user receives an informational medium, whose content the user significantly generates.  The purpose and the offered functions include the passing on of information to the user by Voycer, for example in the form of results that are gleaned from the Content.

Voycer offers exclusively anonymity (without name, address or contact information such as telephone number or email address) for the purposes of trend, opinion and market research, analysis, marketing consulting and research intentions (university research) to evaluate, prepare and process and eventually forward to third parties in order to publish the results within and outside the Voycer Services and Site. Via the acceptance of these privacy policy terms, you accept the use of your personal data within the intentions and functions as described by Voycer above.

1.3  When Participating in Surveys as Non-Registered Users

It is possible that you will be invited by your contacts as an unregistered user to participate in Voycer surveys and voting (polls) that are provided as part of the Voycer services.  In this case, a cookie is placed on your computer, that identifies your computer, but in no way contains or can contain any personal information.  The information that you voluntarily and anonymously provided answers are saved as anonymous content by Voycer and are used for the generation of survey results and analyses.

1.4  Tracking Usage

As is the custom, access to Voycer (in this case to our offers and services) and the interaction with content and data and files on our Site is tracked.  The tracking services are for our internal system and statistical purposes.  Voycer tracks: operating system, browser type/ version, website from which you visit us (referrer URL); name of the viewed content, data, files and websites that you visit on Voycer; date and time of visit; transferred data amount; submission of successful visits; name of your internet provider and the applicable IP-Address.  Certain user data are also tracked in the submission and booking of certain, for example paid services, in order to ensure the quality of the service.  Voycer applies data that you communicate to optimize and prepare its services to fulfill your needs, including eventually the personalized application of advertising on Voycer.  Your username will be published in the context of Voycer services for communication within the Voycer community of users.  Your hereby accept the use of your personal data as described above.

This privacy policy covers the use of tracking technologies by Voycer only and does not cover the use of tracking technologies by any third party.

2.  Cookies & Clear GIFs

2.1  Some of the services provided by Voycer require the user of so-called Cookies.  These are small files that your internet browser saves on your computer.  The “session cookies” are deleted after a certain period of time after the end of your visit, while “permanent cookies” remain on your computer until you delete them.  Cookies may contain information about your visit to the Voycer Site or use of the Services provided by Voycer.  Voycer does not save personal data in the cookies.  If you register after participating in Voycer surveys, it is possible that new content will be added to your existing content.  This makes it easier for you to use and navigate Voycer and its services.  Eventually, cookies from third parties will also be applied, in particular, measurement of reach and for advertising purposes.  Most browsers have a standard setting that cookies are accepted.  You can however configure your browser to refuse cookies or to request cookie acceptance before saving.  If you refuse cookies, it can however result in some services no longer being available to you or may cause improper functioning of the services.  The same is true, when you delete cookies, which is possible via your browser settings.

2.2  We may also use "clear GIFs" (aka "Web beacons" or "pixel tags") or similar technologies, in the Site and in our communications with you to enable us to know whether you have visited a web page or received a message.  A clear GIF is typically a one-pixel, transparent image, located on a web page or in an email or other type of message, which is retrieved from a remote site on the internet enabling the verification of an individual’s viewing or receipt of a web page or message.  A clear GIF may enable us to relate your viewing or receipt of a web page or message to other information about you, including your personal Information.

This privacy policy covers the use of cookies and Clear GIFs by Voycer only and does not cover the use of tracking technologies by any third party.

3.  Access, Change or Delete Your Data, Withdrawal of Consent

The settings in your user account as well as your registration data and content may be accessed, changed, or deleted any time under the section “My Profile”.  Here you can terminate the use of the Services any time by deleting your account as well as view and terminate your future acceptance of the privacy policy.  After deleting your account or the withdrawal of your acceptance, your personal data will be deleted.  You can in this case only continue to use the portions of the Services and Site that do not require registration.  In the event that your registration is rejected by Voycer, or your account is blocked or services discontinued, your personal registration data will also be deleted.  Voycer is entitled to retain instead of deleting certain data, where there are legal retention requirements.

4.  Transfer of Data to Third Parties

Voycer may pass your data and saved Content on to third parties, as legally allowed, or as required after dutiful evaluation by law, in order to (a) fulfill legal, judicial or regulatory requirements; (b) react to the confirmation of rights violations alleged by third parties, or (c) to protect the rights, the property or the personal security of Voycer, its users or the public.  You expressly accept the saving and passing along of personal data in regard to the above (a) through (c) named purposes and under the aforementioned circumstances, in as far as Voycer is not already legally allowed.  The saved personal data of the users, especially the User email address, will in no way be passed on to third parties for advertising purposes, unless you have expressly approved such extension (for example, Newsletter order of a Voycer partner).

5.  Children Under the Age of Thirteen

Our Services and Site is not intended for, and is not directed to, children under the age of thirteen.  Voycer does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen.  No one under age thirteen is authorized to provide any personal Information or use our Services or Site.  If you are under thirteen, please ask your parent or guardian to contact us at: contact@voycer.com for more information.

6.  Security

In the unlikely event that we believe that the security of your personal Information in our possession or control may have been compromised, we may seek to notify you of that development.  If a notification is appropriate, we would do so as promptly as possible under the circumstances, and, to the extent we have your e-mail address, we may notify you by e-mail or by other means as required by law.  You consent to our use of email as a means of such notification.

8.  Terms Subject to Change

Voycer reserves the right to change the terms of the Privacy Policy at any time.  The user will be informed of the changes in the appropriate manner and the valid Privacy Policy terms will be observed.
